Scotland Day 3

I turned the corner to find Mike having a 'talk' with Carter...they reinacted the scene for my camera. :)

Brennan thought helping with the water was fabulous. He adores being outside.

Loved how the clouds swallowed the mountains everyday. I have never enjoyed clouds as much as I did in Scotland.

The poo tank.....I will leave it at that....gross.

Mason stole my front seat on many occasions, he thought he was pretty cheeky about that.

William Wallace Monument--246 stairs and trully an amazing build that was completed around 1869.

This was a statue of Thomas Carlyle...we loved that is unveiled by David Masson. :)

It is quite the climb to the monument, but the kids did great. Mason thought we were a little crazy, however it was a great warm up before the stair climb.

Carter was scared of the height and Mason was objecting to the picture while Taylor wants to hang over the edge.



Mason got a little tired in the end and was a bit distressed.
After Taylor fell down part of the mountain after being told about 20 times, do not RUN down the hill. Do you think she learned? No. Although she was quite panicked that she was bleeding. Bandaids are of the Devil in her eyes and so we just had to have a tissue and have her hold it.

We stopped in a layby for dinner right by this pasture. The kids and Mike had a fabulous time mooing at the cows which reacted greatly when Mike mooed. Who knew Mike had this hidden talent? The kids thought it was the funniest thing. The cows on the other hand were wondering what great beast had come upon them.

Headed up to Dornie....the lochs around Scotland are so beautiful. We loved how the mountains just shot up out of the earth. They weren't in one big range, but individual peaks. Amazing!!
