Mason has been pulled out of school for right now(I will post about that later), so we get extra home time with Mason to do fun projects like this! Mason has always loved Play-Doh and for Cameron, this was his first experience. I am a weird person about this lovely toy--the neon crumbs drive me mad, the way my children mix the colours makes me crazy, but I also love creating different sculptures with them. I guess the sculptural person in me won the day today.
You have to let them eat it to see what they think, although the picture is blurry I love Cameron's face of disgust below. Mason was thrilled to be able to cut the Play-Doh, he has, at the moment, an obsession with cutting things. This is great for his fine motor skills, not so great on the important papers he always seems to be cutting.

Cameron is ONE!
Cameron, I know that you will never know, or never care that this is a picture of your cake after your big brother Mason decided to cut right down the side and your mom had to resurrect the cake from cake heaven, but I think you liked it anyway.
Cameron wasn't really sure what to think when it came to everyone singing to him. He did give a little grin and thought it was fun to be the center of attention. We have been working on blowing, but I think we should have practiced with an actual candle, because like our other children he decided his fingers would work to put it out, then didn't enjoy the feeling of getting a little burnt.
When it came time to eating I knew we would have a little problem, because Cameron must have a fork to eat or he will not touch his food. :) He will eventually get his hands in there, but for the most part we have a very English child that NEEDS cutlery to eat.

We thought that Cameron was acting even more subdued than normal, and that was confirmed when he got a fever later that night after his party, but at least he had a little fun. Cameron is a great little baby, and is really an easy going, laid back kind of guy with little worries in his life. He LOVES his mama and wants to have her hold him while she is going about doing her duties of the day. Cameron has a few confirmed words and some others that he is working on. Words that we for sure have heard include the following; mom, Taylor, more, what's that, duck, dad, night night. Cameron enjoys playing cars and rolling balls back and forth. Happy Birthday Cameron, we love you!!!

Marathon Training
We are back in the saddle again! Today was the first double digit run since injuries and although it was tough, I was still giving myself a pat on the back for my time and distance. Feeling pretty good about the come back and ever so optimistic for the actual marathon. Today was a wet, windy, cold, and muddy day of training! I got splashed by a car with a huge puddle and probably could have handled that with a bit more grace, but I didn't. Also, new shoes can only stay nice and shiny for so long. Good times! I am training to run the London Marathon this April--I am asking to be sponsored to raise money for ASSERT(Angelman Syndrome Support, Education, and Research Trust). If you would like to help me in the efforts please click on the click on the side tab that will take you to my donations page. Thanks in advance for any help you can give!
World Book Day
Taylor and Brennan got to dress up for school, going as their favourite book character, to celebrate World Book Day. Taylor knew immediately that she wanted to be Ruby the Red Fairy. Brennan took his sweet time deciding and as much as his mom suggested very creative cute book characters he wanted to go as Cpt. America. Mostly because, you know, he's American. :)
Shop Safety 101
Mom is learning to use the scroll saw(or is mastering her fear of slicing her fingers off). Cameron is trying to teach her there is something she forgot.
Me and my Buddy Cam
I just love this little kid we call Cameron. He is my buddy and it is so fun to have him with me all day everyday. You'd think I would eventually get tired of him, but I think you shouldn't hold your breath on that one.

Wrestling
The house is clean, the toys put away, and now it is wrestling time!! Mason loves wrestling and is willing to lay there and let his brothers crawl all over him just to have some contact that only involves good ol' fun! I think my favourite thing about these pictures are the last few with Cameron in the back ground watching the madness before him. It is like he wants to join in, but thinks better of it and just enjoys the scenery that is happening in the house.
February 2013
We have helped an Elder celebrate his birthday. Elder Larsen was very excited about his birthday!
Carter and Taylor choosing a song for FHE(Family Home Evening)
More of Cameron getting around the house. This kid really like walking...he also crashed hard when the time comes. I wasn't coming fast enough from putting clothes upstairs and he decided to just go to sleep without his bed.
Can you believe that this guy is going to be 12 years old in July!?
Half Term at the Christiansen household this year was pretty lame. Mom was injured and Dad was having some weird mystery illness. The kids were out of school for a week and we couldn't have been more boring. When mom finally felt well enough and stir crazy enough we tried a little walk around the block and stopped at the park for a few minutes before mom had to go lay back down.
Cameron had his first swinging experience and loved every second. He also enjoyed this spinning device.
Cameron is going to be ONE!!! He sure acts like it!!
