One last camping trip.

Mike worked for a few days and then he had three days off. The caravan from our trip had to be returned and we decided we would pack up the van and go camping for a couple days because the caravan needed to be returned just outside of Sherwood Forest, and what better way to send off summer than exploring Robin Hood's world.
Just in case anyone ever wants to try it, don't have a hot dog roast over charcoal, it just doesn't work. Well, eventually it worked, but it took forever to cook the dogs.

Mike tried a bit of innovation to get the marshmallows cooked and that seemed to help with the heat. We would have had wood, but we couldn't find any at a local petrol station and couldn't find an area where we could acquire it without detection.

Cameron really loved camping, but mostly he loves S'mores.

What's a man to do when the cereal bowl just isn't big enough? Improvise I suppose.

There was a little climbing frame right across from our campsite which was nice for when Mike and I just wanted to relax and get the kids out of the way while we set up camp or took it down. Cameron really enjoyed the swings and climbing up and down the rock wall. We have some great big kids who kept a very close eye on him.
